Resource Code while looking at Assignment Data?

I noticed that I could not directly access the Resource Code field while looking at Assignment data.

I have the following code (specifics removed). Am I on the right track?

Dim tsk as Task
Dim asn as Assignment
Dim ResCode as String

For each tsk in ActiveProject.Tasks

For each asn in tsk.Assignments

ResCode = tsk.Resources(?????).Code

I have tried the following where the "?????" is:
asn.ResourceID
asn.ResourceUniqueID
